Der Einsame
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE ITA SPA
Wann meine Grillen schwirren,
Bei Nacht, am [spät erwärmten]1 Herd,
Dann sitz' ich, mit vergnügtem Sinn,
Vertraulich zu der Flamme hin,
So [leicht, so]2 unbeschwert.

Ein trautes, stilles Stündchen
Bleibt man noch gern am Feuer wach.
Man schürt, wann sich die Lohe senkt,
Die Funken auf, und sinnt und denkt:
Nun abermal ein Tag!

Was Liebes oder Leides
Sein Lauf für uns [daher gebracht]3,
Es geht noch einmal durch den Sinn;
Allein das Böse wirft man hin.
Es störe nicht die Nacht.

Zu einem frohen Traume
Bereitet man gemach sich zu.
[Wann sorgelos ein holdes]4 Bild
Mit sanfter Lust die Seele füllt,
Ergiebt man sich der Ruh.

O wie ich mir gefalle
In meiner stillen Ländlichkeit!
Was in dem Schwarm der lauten Welt
Das irre Herz gefesselt hält,
[Giebt nicht Zufriedenheit]5.

Zirpt immer, liebe Heimchen,
In meiner Klause eng und klein.
Ich duld' euch gern: ihr stört mich nicht.
Wann euer Lied das Schweigen bricht,
Bin ich nicht ganz allein.

La ermita
Language: Spanish (Español)  after the German (Deutsch)
Cuando mis grillos cantan,
Por la noche a mi corazón cansado,
Entonces me siento, con placer,
Cerca del fuego,
Tan aliviado, tan despreocupado.

Por una hora de paz
Uno disfruta permaneciendo alerta cerca del fuego.
Lo alimentas cuando se hunde en las brasas,
Volando las chispas, y uno siente y piensa:
¡otro día ha pasado!

Cuanto amor o desgracia
Nos ha traído el discurso del día,
Esto pasa por nuestra mente:
Todos descartamos lo malo,
Para que no perturbe la noche.

Para los sueños placenteros
Uno se prepara a sí mismo,
Y cuando una dulce imagen
Ocupa el alma con placer gentil,
Se sucumbe al sueño.

¡O, cuánto amo
mi tranquila vida rural!
En el tumulto del ruidoso mundo
El corazón confuso puede quedar cautivado
Y nunca encontrar satisfacción.

Siempre haces cricrí, querido grillo,
En mi ermita, pequeña y estrecha.
Te tolero con gusto: no me molestas,
Cuando tu canción rompe el silencio,
No estoy solo del todo.
