Kogda mogushchaja Zima
Language: Russian (Русский)
Our translations:  CHI ENG
Kogda [mogushchaja]1 Zima,
Kak [bodryj]2 vozhd', vedet sama
Na nas [kosmatye]3 druzhiny
Svoikh morozov i snegov, —
Navstrechu jej treshchat kaminy,
I vesel zimnij zhar pirov.

Carica groznaja, Chuma
Teper' idjot na nas sama
I l'stitsja zhatvoju bogatoj;
I k nam v okoshko den' i noch'
Stuchit mogil'noju lopatoj....
Chto delat' nam? i chjom pomoch'?

Kak ot prokaznicy Zimy,
Zapremsja takzhe ot Chumy!
Zazhzhjom ogni, nal'em bokaly,
Utopim veselo umy
I, zavariv piry da baly,
Vosslavim carstvije Chumy.

Jest' upojenije v boju,
I bezdny mrachnoj na kraju,
I v raz"jarennom okeane,
Sred' groznykh voln i burnoj t'my,
I v aravijskom uragane,
I v dunovenii Chumy.

Vse, vse, chto gibel'ju grozit,
Dlja serdca smertnogo tait
Neiz"jasnimy naslazhden'ja —
[Bessmert'ja]4, mozhet byt', zalog!
I schastliv tot, kto sred' volnen'ja
Ikh obretat' i vedat' mog.

Itak, — khvala tebe, Chuma,
Nam ne strashna mogily t'ma,
Nas ne smutit tvojo prizvan'e!
Bokaly penim druzhno my
I devy-rozy p'em dykhan'e, —
Byt' mozhet... polnoje Chumy!
