Die Schwalben ziehn
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG FRE ITA
Die Schwalben ziehn,
Nicht länger darf ich weilen,
Zum Süden muß ich eilen,
Zur Wärme hin.

Die Sonne sinkt;
Soll Leben nicht versinken,
Muß ich die Wärme trinken,
Der Süden winkt.

Wo Sonne glüht,
Sie immerwährend scheinet,
Sich Lenz mit Herbst vereinet,
Wo's ewig blüht;

Dahin! dahin
Muß ich! darf hier nicht weilen,
Muß in den Süden eilen;
Die Schwalben fliehn.

Les hirondelles s'en vont
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Les hirondelles s'en vont,
Je ne dois pas m'attarder plus,
Je dois me hâter vers le sud,
Vers la chaleur.

Le soleil se couche ;
Pour que la vie ne sombre pas aussi,
Je dois m'imbiber de chaleur,
Le sud me fait signe.

Là où le soleil brille,
Il brille toujours,
Le printemps s'unit à l'automne,
Là où tout fleurit toujours.

Là-bas ! Là-bas
Je dois aller ! Je ne dois pas m'attarder ici,
Je dois me hâter vers le sud,
Les hirondelles s'enfuient.
