Markt und Gassen überschwemmt!

Fern vom Fluß aus Busch und Flieder
Schluchzt die Nachtigall herauf --
Traum der Jugend, kommst du wieder?
Alte Sehnsucht, wachst du auf?

Dunkelselig wie vor Zeiten
Wächst das Herz mir in der Brust,
Süßer Schwermuth Schauer streiten
Mit beklommner Werdelust,

Bis mir über dem Gewühle
Klar die alte Liebe steht,
Ach, und alles, was ich fühle,
In Erinnrung untergeht.

Des frissons de douce mélancolie se disputent
Avec une envie oppressante d’exister,

Jusqu’à ce que, au-dessus de cette agitation,
L’ancien amour se dresse clairement devant moi,
