Ecoutent mon chagrin
Dont le mal renaissant avive sa souffrance
Au sel de l'air marin ;
Mais le ciel est si pur et le cyprès si beau
Et ces fleurs sont si belles
Que, presque en souriant, j'accepte le sursaut
De ma peine, près d'elles ;
Et, tandis que le soir descend de rose en rose
Sur ce jardin charmant,
Je sens saigner mon cœur solitaire et morose,
Délicieusement...
