O wenn du gehst, dann bin ich allein, Sieh noch zurück einmal! Ein letzter Blick nur sei noch mein, Ein letzter wärmender Strahl. Sieh, wenn am Abend die Sonne versinkt, Vergoldet sie Wald und Fluß, And auf den Bergesstirnen blinkt Ihr rosiger Scheidegruß. Und morgen wieder die Nacht ihr weicht, Hold küßt sie Berg und Tal, -- Ich aber sehe dein Auge vielleicht, Vielleicht zum letztenmal.
