Ich, der, als ich unbeglücket,
Soviel sang von meinem Kummer,

Daß mir tausend arme Jungen
Gar verzweifelt nachgedichtet,
Und das Leid, das ich besungen,
Noch viel Schlimmres angerichtet!

O, ihr Nachtigallenchöre,
Die ich trage in der Seele,
Daß man eure Wonne höre,
