Dort unten hinter dem Walde Steht meines Liebchens Haus; Da schaut sie jetzt zum Fenster In den dunkeln Garten hinaus. Schaut nach der Gartenpforte, Wo ich von dannen schied, Und in die dunkle Ferne Und singt ein Abendlied. Naß sind vom Thau die Blumen Und auch das grüne Gras, So sind auch ihre Augen Jetzt wohl von Thränen naß.
