Flüchtiges Reh!
Nicht, wie der Wind,
Eile hinweg,
Liebliches Kind;
Scheue zu grüßen nicht,
Fürchte Hafisen nicht!
Glaub', er ist fromm,
Glaub', er ist gut,
Heget und pflegt
Schöne Gefühle,
Klappert er auch
Nicht, wie die Mühle,
Plappert er auch
Hohle Gebete nicht,
Blicke du ihm
Kecklich in's Angesicht,
Und du verlachst,
Was der Zelote spricht.
