Lieben, lieben wir uns und ruhen, ohne uns um die übrige Welt zu kümmern. Solange wir uns lieben, wird weder die Flut des Meeres noch der Sturm aus den Bergen deinen blonden Nacken beugen, denn die Liebe ist stärker als die Götter und der Tod! Die Sonne würde sich verfinstern, auf dass dein Teint noch heller werde, der Wind, der die Bäume bis zur Erde neigt, traute sich nicht, im Vorüberwehen mit deinem Haar zu spielen, solange du deinen Kopf in meinen Armen birgst! Und wenn unsere beiden Herzen in glückliche Gefilde ziehen, wo Himmelslilien unter unseren Tränen aufblühen, dann werden sich, wie zwei Blumen, unsere Lippen voller Liebe begegnen und danach trachten, den Tod in einem Kuss zu verzehren!
