Già sorge in ciel la rosea Aurora, e l'erbe e i fior colora Febo uscendo dal mar col crine aurato. Sposo, sposo adorato, dove guidasti il piè Forse le fere ad inseguir ti chiama il tuo nobile ardor. Ah vieni, ah vieni, o caro, ed offrirò più grata preda ai tuoi lacci. Il cor d'Arianna amante, che t'adora costante, stringi, stringi con nodo più tenace, e più bella la face splenda del nostro amor. Soffrir non posso d'esser da te divisa un sol istante. Ah di vederti, o caro, già mi strugge il desio; ti sospira il mio cor, vieni, vieni idol mio. I flutti e il vento lo involano per sempre agli occhi miei. Ah siete ingiusti, o Dei, se l'empio non punite! Ingrato! Perchè ti trassi dalla morte dunque tu dovevi tradirmi! E le promesse, e i giuramenti tuoi? Spergiuro, infido! hai cor di lasciarmi. A chi mi volgo, da chi pietà sperar? Già più non reggo, il piè vacilla, e in così amaro istante sento mancarmi in sen l'alma tremante. Aria A che morir vorrei in sì fatal momento, ma al mio crudel tormento mi serba ingiusto il ciel. Morgenröte schon den Himmel überzieht , Kräuter und Blumen in ihr Licht tauchend, da sich Phoebus aus dem Meer erhebt. Mein Gatte, geliebter Gatte, wohin bist du? Hat die Jagd deinen tapferen Sinn verlockt? Kehre zurück, Geliebter! Ich werde Dir eine süßere Beute in Deinen Schlingen sein! Das Herz deiner dich treu liebenden Arianna wirst du noch stärker binden, Unsere Liebe wird noch stärker brennen. Keinen Augenblick länger ertrag' ich die Trennung. Dich zu sehen verzehr' ich mich, mein Herz seufzt nach dir, Teurer, komm! Aria (Largo) Wo bist Du, mein schöner Schatz, was hält Dich diesem Herzen fern? Ich sterbe, erscheinst du nicht! Zu groß meine Schmerzen, als dass ich sie ertrüge. Götter, wenn Ihr mitfühlt, folgt meinen Wünschen und bringt mir meinen Liebsten zurück! Wo bist Du? Theseus! Wo bist du? Recitativo Doch zu wem red' ich? Meine Klagen wirft Echo nur zurück. Theseus hört mich nicht, Wind und Wellen tragen meine Stimme fort. Sehr fern kann er nicht sein! Ich besteige die Felsklippe, von ihrer Spitze entdeck' ich ihn. Was seh' ich, oh Götter, ich Elende? Dort ist das Schiff aus Argos Es sind Griechen - Theseus! Am Bug! Ach, vielleicht irre ich ... und doch - ja, er ist es, er flieht, er lässt mich hier, verlassen! Keine Hoffnung - ich bin betrogen Theseus! Theseus! Ach höre mich! Aber ach, was rede ich denn! Fluten und Winde entreissen ihn auf ewig meinen Blicken. Ach, ungerecht seid Ihr Götter, wenn Ihr den Verräter nicht bestraft! Undankbarer! Vor dem Tod habe ich dich bewahrt - Und jetzt kannst Du mich betrügen? Und deine Versprechen und Schwüre? Lügner! Untreuer! Mich hier allein zu lassen, hast Du das Herz? An wen wende ich mich? Wo finde ich Trost? Schon wanke ich, meine Füße haltlos, und in diesem bitteren Augenblick fühle ich die zitternde Seele meiner Brust entschwinden. Aria Ah! Möge mich in diesem schrecklichen Augenblick doch der Tod ereilen! Aber die ungerechten Götter lassen mich weiter leiden! Niemand tröstet mich elende verlassene Frau!
