Aplegueu-vos a les baranes del pont! Nois alegres marxen vers la llunyania. Forasters! Mireu com el poltre balla alegrament en el seu camí, com el capità hi assenta la seva grassa panxeta. Estiguem alegres i no pensem en la pedra blanca que portava el seu petit peu quan a la font, l’estimada estava amb la seva amiga. Ei! Potser un cop de vent terbolinarà a la font que d’ordinari raja suaument, empolsegarà i rombollarà, consola’t, estimada del meu cor! El teu petit hússar partirà a trossos les galtes inflades del vent!
