Permet-me, petit colom d’ales lleugeres! Tinc quelcom a encarregar-te per a la meva estimada! Mil salutacions li has de portar i cent de més a més. Digues-li que hauria volgut volar amb tu per damunt de rius i muntanyes: la salutació a canvi d’un petó, atrevit, li hagués demanat, però la urgència del temps no ho hauria permès. No esperis que t’empenyi, oh tu, disc mandrós de la lluna! Saps ben bé el que t’he encomanat per a la meva estimada: a través de la seva finestra, furtivament, saluda-la cordialment de part meva!
