Déjà le hibou appelle dans la forêt, Et celui qui entend ce chant, Doit avec lui bientôt se lamenter ! La fille: Laisse-le se lamenter, mère, laisse-le se lamenter ! Le rossignol lance son chant clair, Et celui pour qui le chant retentit, Perdra vite sa tristesse !
