Hei! verstünd' ich wie der zu spielen, zu umgaukeln der Schönen Sinn, Sie lauschte wohl meinem Liede, sie folgte mir überall hin. Ich rief ihn herauf aus der Tiefe, er spielte, noch heut' mir graut; Als ich ein Meister geworden, war sie meines Bruders Braut. Zu großen Kirchen und Sälen trug mich mein Lied wohl hin, Des Wassermanns heimliches Singen geht mir nicht mehr aus dem Sinn.
