Wenn am Gletscher heiß die Sonne leckt, Wenn die Quelle von den Bergen springt, Alles rings mit jungem Grün sich deckt Und das Luftgetön der Wälder klingt-- Lüfte lind und lau Würzt die grüne Au, Und der Himmel lacht so rein und blau, Schallt es von den Höh'n Bis zum Thale weit: O, wie wunderschön Ist die Frühlingszeit! Quando la primavera arriva sui monti e al raggio del sole si scioglie la neve, quando il rpimo verde si mostra sull'albero, e nellì'erba spunta il primo fiorellino, quando nella valle all'improvviso scompare tutto il tempo della pioggia e dell'inverno, risuona dall'alto fino giù nella valle: O, come è bello il tempo di primavera! Quando il sole caldo fa sciogleire il ghiacciaio, quando la fonte sgorga dai monti, tutto intorno si copre di nuovo verde, e risuona il canto di gioia dei boschi, aure soavi e tiepide spande il prato verde, e il cielo ride puro e azzurro, risuona dall'alto fino giù nella valle: O, come è bello il tempo di primavera! Non era anche al giovane tempo di primavera, che il tuo cuore si apriva al mio cuore? Come da te, fanciulla dolcissima, ho goduto il primo, lungo bacio! Per il boschetto, lieto canto di gioia, e la fonte sgorgava dai monti, risuonava dall'alto fino giù nella valle: O, come è bello il tempo di primavera!
