C'est en vain que mon œil guette au loin. Où te retrouverai-je, mon amour ? » L'eau en rampant jouait près de ses pieds, Comme un rêve d'heures bénies ; Elle fut attirée dans les profondeurs par une force silencieuse : Plus jamais cette belle figure ne se tiendrait sur le rivage, Elle avait retrouvé son bien-aimé !
