[Modren]² sade: "låt det bli till våren;
Våren, Dotter, passar bäst för bröllop;
Även fågeln bygger bo om våren."
Dottren sade: "Hvarför bli till våren,
[Hvarför]³ passar våren bäst för bröllop;
[Hvad, om fågeln]⁴ bygger bo om våren?
[Hvarje]⁵ årstid, goda moder, passar
Ju för den, som hvarje⁵ årstid, älskar."
