Lust der Wehmuth ahtmet in jedem Tone, --

Wie der Anmuth Thräne von dunkler Wimper.
Holder Wohllaut träufelt in jeder Perle, --

Ach! ein Gluthstrom heiliger Liebeswogen
Schwellt das Herz mir, wonnige Maid von Capri!
Trunkne Sehnsucht lodert in jedem Pulsschlag, --

Lovely melodious sound is dripping in every pearl, --

Ah! a glowing surge of sacred waves of love
Swells my heart, delightful Maiden of Capri!
Intoxicated longing flares in every beat of my pulse, --
