Suren des Korans stürz ich in den Wein!

Gebt meinen Becher! Und Gesang erschalle
Und dringe zu den tanzenden Sphären auf

The sun outshines the stars!

Give me my mug! All the prayers
In my breviary would I forget, all
Chapters of the Qur’an, as I plunge into my wine!

Give me my mug! And singing will resound
And penetrate through the dancing spheres
With a powerful flourish! I am the Lord of the World!
