Я хочу рубиться, мстить с безумной страстью,
оттого, что долго был покорен злым.
И хочу любви я, и хочу я счастья,
оттого, что не был счастлив и любим!

For I knew only torment,
For I lived with heavy burdens.
 
Bring me fresh air, flowers, sunny weather!
Too long was there mud and rain!
I want fun, I want freedom,
For I have been a slave.
 
I want to cut loose, to take revenge with wild passion,
For I was long obedient to the oppressors.
And I want love, and I want happiness,
For I have never never been happy and loved.
