Tak někdy, vše když spí, si sednu s jasnou tváří pod ohvězděný dom, jenž nad hlavou nám září, zda s výše jakýs ruch bych slyšel zvučící, tu čas mne nadarmo svým chvatným křídlem tepe, když pohnut stopuju ty hody velkolepé, jež v noci strojí nám tvář nebes zářící! Tu často zdá se mi, že slunce, jež se stkvějí v tom světě, který spí, jen moji duši hřejí, že bych je pochopil jen já jsem určen z všech, že já stín mlčící, jenž halen v temna vlny, té noční nádhery sám král jsem tajuplný, jen pro mne obloha že září v plamenech!
