drei große Lilien, bestäubt mit Gold, vom Winde aufgeschreckt,
gewässert nur, sobald ein schwarzer Himmel sie begießt,
voll Majestät und schön wie Königszepter.

Die eine sprießt aus meinem Weh und wenn ein Sonnenstrahl sie trifft,
dann reckt sie blutend sich empor - die Lilie des Grauens.
Drei große Lilien, drei große Lilien auf meinem Grabe ohne Kreuz,
drei große Lilien, bestäubt mit Gold, vom Winde aufgeschreckt.

Die andere ersprießt in meinem Herzen, das leidet auf dem Lager,
wo Würmer es zerfressen. Die dritte wächst aus meinem Mund.
