Angel
Language: Russian (Русский)
Our translations:  ENG
Ljubil ja tichij svet lampady zolotoj,
blagogovejnoe vokrug neë molčan'e...
I tajnogo ispolnen ožidan'ja,
kak často ja, otkinuv polog svoj,
ne spal, na mjagkij puch oblokotjas' rukoju,
i dumal: v ėtu noč' chranitel'-angel moj
prijdët li v tišine besedovat' so mnoju?
I mnilos' mne: na lože, bliz menja,
v sijan'i trepetnom lampadnogo otnja,
v blednoserebrjanom sidel on odejan'e...
I ticho, šopotom ja poverjal emu
i mysli, detskomu dostupnye umu,
i serdcu detskomu dostupnye želan'ja.
Mne sladok byl pokoj v ego lučach;
ja ves' proniknut byl božestvennoju siloj.
S ulybkoju na plamennych ustach
zadumčivo vnimal mne svetlokrylyj;
no oči krotkie ego gljadeli v dal',
oni grjaduščee v duše moej čitali,
i otražalas' v nich kakaja-to pečal'...
I angel govoril: Ditja, tebja mne žal'.
Ditja, ditja, pojmëš' li ty slova moej pečali?
Dušoj mladenčeskoj ja ich ne ponimal,
kraja odežd ego lovil i celoval
i slëzy radosti v očach moich sverkali.
