Spat' ne dajot ottogo, chto mne grezitsja molodost' v dushnoj tjur'me. Vizhu ja svody... okno za reshetkoju, kojku v syroj polut'me. S kojki gljadjat likhoradochno-znojnye ochi bez mysli i sljoz, s kojki visjat chut' ne do polu temnye kosmy tjazhelykh volos. Ne sheveljat'sja ni guby, ni blednye ruki na blednoj grudi, slabo prizhatye k serdcu bez trepeta i bez nadezhd vperedi. Chto mne ona! Ne zhena, ne ljubovnica i ne rodnaja mne doch'!
