Ara de sobte s’aclareix :
Oh, compte, compte!
Apareix un ampli país de meravelles.
Argentines s’aixequen les muntanyes, com en un somni,
viaranys silenciosos il·lumints de plata
venen de sines amagades;
i el món excels és un pur somni.
Un faig callat dóna negra ombra al camí,
oneja lleuger un hàlit solitari
de camps llunyans.
I des de la profunda tenebra del fons
s’encenen llums en la nit silenciosa.
Beu, ànima! Beu solitud!
Oh, compte, compte!
