Besstrastno ja gljažu na svet, I netu slëz, i smecha net! I dolja gde moja? Sud'boju, Znat', ne dano mne nikakoj... No esli ja blagoj ne stoju, Začem ne vypalo chot' zloj? Ne daj, o Bože! kak vo sne Bluždat'... ostynut' serdcem mne. Gniloj kolodoj na puti Ležat' menja ne [popusti]1. [No žit' mne daj, tvorec nebesnyj!]2 O, daj mne serdcem, serdcem žit'!
