Sie: O weile, süßer Geliebter! Es trügt dich nur, es hellt, nur wolkengetrübter, der Mond die Flur. Er: Doch nimmer weilen und halten die Wolken dort, es führen sie wilde Gewalten von Ort zu Ort! Sie: Ein Traum ist alle das Treiben in dunkler Höh, doch uns muß ewig verbleiben der Sehnsucht Weh. Er: Ich seh nur Kommen und Scheiden am Himmelszelt, es zieht die Seele der Leiden durch alle Welt. Sie: Die Wolken wandern so nächtig ohn Schmerz und Lust, ich aber ziehe dich mächtig an meine Brust.

Ona: Snem są mi tych chmur pogonie w posępną dal, lecz budzą wciąź w naszem łonie tęsknoty źal. On: Co tylko się zjawi mija, wsród niebios pól, a zawsze swiat ten spowija odwieczny ból.
