im Gäßchen hoch im Norden wohnt's,
das Weiblein mit der Kunkel.

Es spinnt und spinnt. Was spinnt es wohl?
Es spinnt und spintisieret...
Es trägt ein weißes Kamisol,
das seinen Körper zieret.

Um stille Stübel schleicht des Monds
barbarisches Gefunkel -
im Gäßchen hoch im Norden wohnt's,
Das Weiblein mit der Kunkel.
