Gefrorne Tropfen fallen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  AFR CAT CHI DUT DUT ENG ENG ENG FIN FRE FRI HEB HEB IRI ITA KOR LIT POR SPA SPA
Gefrorne Tropfen fallen
Von meinen Wangen ab:
[Und ist's]1 mir denn entgangen,
Daß ich geweinet hab'?

Ei Thränen, meine Thränen,
Und seid ihr gar so lau,
Daß ihr erstarrt zu Eise,
Wie kühler Morgenthau?

Und dringt doch aus der Quelle
Der Brust so glühend heiß,
Als wolltet ihr zerschmelzen
Des ganzen Winters Eis.

Bevroren tranen
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Bevroren druppels vallen
neer op mijn winterjas1.
Hoe kan het mij ontgaan zijn,
dat ik aan 't schreien was?

Ach tranen, stille tranen,
zijn jullie dan zo lauw,
Dat je verstart tot ijzel
als koele morgendauw?

Toch wel je uit mijn binnenst'
omhoog zo gloeiend heet,
Als zou je willen smelten
het winterijs compleet!
