Dir, o schönste Himmelsblüthe
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Latin
Dir, o schönste Himmelsblüthe,
Jungfrau, Mutter reich an Güte,
Flecht' ich einen Rosenkranz!
Süßer als des Lenzes Blume
Duftet er von deinem Ruhme,
Strahlt in reinem Perlenglanz.
Sei gegrüsst, o Saronsrose,
Die aus königlichem Schooße,
Makellos hervorgeblüht!
Steh', o Hochgebenedeite,
Allzeit schützend uns zur Seite,
Wenn des Feindes Grimm erglüht.
Sei gegrüsst, du Thron der Tugend!
Hilf dem Alter, schirm' die Jugend!
Steh' uns bei im letzten Streit!
Daß wir mit den Engeln droben
Den Dreieinen ewig loben,
Der zur Mutter dich geweiht.

Upon the festival of the rosary
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
For Thee, oh loveliest blossom of Heaven,
Virgin, Mother, full of charity,
I weave a wreath of roses!
Sweeter than the flowers of spring
Is it perfumed by Thy glory,
Does it gleam in pure pearly splendour.
Hail, oh Rose of Sharon,
Which from a noble womb
Bloomed forth without blemish!
Always remain, oh supremely blessed One,
Protectingly at our side
When the flame of the foe's fury is fanned.
Hail, Thou throne of virtue!
Help the aged, protect the young!
Support us in the last battle!
So that with the angels on high, we may
Praise the Trinity in all eternity,
That consecrated Thee as a mother.
