Du meines Herzens Krönelein, du bist von lautrem Golde:
  Wenn andere daneben sein, dann bist du [erst]1 viel holde.
  Die andern tun so gern gescheit, du bist gar sanft und stille;
  Daß jedes Herz sich dein erfreut, dein Glück ist's, nicht dein Wille.
Die andern suchen Lieb' und Gunst mit tausend falschen Worten,
  Du ohne Mund- und Augen-Kunst, bist wert an allen Orten.
  Du bist als wie die Ros' im Wald: sie weiß nichts von ihrer Blüte,
  Doch jedem, der vorüberwallt, erfreut sie das Gemüte.

Tu, petita corona del meu cor, estàs feta d’or pur,
  enmig de totes les altres, tu ets llavors la més preciosa.
  A les altres els agrada mostrar llur llestesa, però tu restes dolça i silent,
  quan per tu s’alegren tots els cors, és la teva ventura, no la teva intenció.
Les altres cerquen amor i favors amb mil falses paraules,
  tu, sense artificis de mots i esguards, ets estimable a tot arreu.
  Ets com una rosa al bosc que no és conscient de la seva florida,
  però que, a tots els que passen al costat, els alegra l’ànim.
