Ein Rabe saß auf einem Meilenstein
und rief Ka-em-zwei-ein, Ka-em-zwei-ein...
Der Werhund lief vorbei, im Maul ein Bein,
Der Rabe rief Ka-em-zwei-ein, zwei-ein.
Vorüber zottelte das Zapfenschwein,
der Rabe rief und rief Ka-em-zwei-ein.
"Er ist besessen!" kam man überein.
"Man führe ihn hinweg von diesem Stein!"
Zwei Hasen brachten ihn zum Kräuterdachs.
Sein Hirn war ganz verstört und weich wie Wachs.
Noch sterbend rief er (denn er starb dort) sein
Ka-em-zwei-ein, Ka-em-Ka-em-zwei-ein . . . .

Un corbeau était assis sur une borne
et criait ka-em-deux-un, ka-em-deux-un ...
Le chien-garou passa en courant une jambe dans la geule.
Le corbeau cria ka-em-deux-un, ka-em-deux-un.
Le cochon-bouchon passa en trainassant,
le corbeau cria et cria ka-em-deux-un.
On fut d'accord pour dire « Il est possédé !
Qu'on le déniche de cette borne ! »
Deux lièvres l'emmenèrent sous un toit d'herbe.
Son cerveau était complètement ravagé et mou comme cire.
Déjà mourant (car il mourut là), il cria son
Ka-em-deux-un, Ka-em-deux-un ...
