Er und Sie
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG ENG FRE
Er
Seh' ich in das stille Thal,
Wo im Sonnenscheine
Blumen prangen ohne Zahl,
Blick' ich nur auf Eine.
Ach! es blickt Ihr Auge blau
Jezt auch auf die Auen;
Im Vergißmeinnicht voll Thau
Kann ich es erschauen.

Sie
Tret' ich an mein Fensterlein,
Wann die Sterne scheinen,
Mögen alle schöner seyn,
Blick' ich nur auf Einen;
Dort gen Abend blickt Er mild
Wohl nach Himmelshöhen,
Denn dort ist ein liebes Bild
In dem Stern zu sehen.

Hij en zij
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Hij:
 Kijk ik rond in 't stille dal,
 Waar, door zon beschenen,
 Bloemen prijken zonder tal,
 'k Zoek toch slechts die ene.
 Ach, vast kijkt haar oog, zo blauw,
 Nu ook naar de velden;
 De vergeet-mij-niet vol dauw
 Weet het mij te melden.

Zij:
 Kom ik bij mijn raampje klein,
 Als de sterren schijnen:
 Alle mogen mooier zijn,
 'k Zoek er één, de mijne.
 Ginds des avonds kijkt hij mild
 Wel naar d' hoge hemel,
 Want daar staat een dierbaar beeld,
 Eén ster in 't gewemel.

Robert Schumann koos de couplettenvolgorde 1-3-2-4
