lungo il fragore delle loro rive
e nell'eco sonante della notte resti poi immerso.
Mandami verso le tue terre deserte
che da larghi venti sono attraversate,
là dove chiostri immensi, simili a mantelli,
serrano al loro interno vite mai vissute.
Là mi intratterrò coi pellegrini anch'io,
dalle voci e dai visi non più distolto
come avviene per i piccoli inganni consueti,
e, seguendo i passi di un cieco vegliardo,
