Stiller Mond, ferne Gestirne - vom blauen Himmel blicken staunend sie aufs Wasser. Stumm schaue ich des Wassers Tiefen: Mein Herz spürt seinen Zauber, sein Geheimnis. Es tänzelt, schwindet, liebevoll und sanft; in seinem Murmeln ist viel Zauberkraft: Man hört Gedanken, grenzenlose Leidenschaften. Ein unbekanntes Raunen, das mein Herz bewegt, kost und erschreckt mich und weckt Zweifel. Weist es mich an, zu lauschen? Ich rühr’ mich nicht vom Fleck. Treibt es mich weg? Bestürzt renn ich davon. Ruft’s mich zu sich herab? Ohn’ Zögern stürz’ ich mich Wassers Tiefen.
