Les collia per fer una garlanda –
On deu haver romàs?

En totes les flors cerco
aquell esclat, aquella llum,
cerco tots els dies d’estiu –
però no trobo pas el mateix.

Podríeu mai saber el que feia?
Cercava la meva vella garlanda.
Era tan fresca, tan lluminosa, tan estimada –
