Лишь сердца одного, -- так мало, ах так мало, -- 
Лишь сердца одного на свете надо мне, 
Чтоб близ меня оно любовью трепетало... 
Меж тихими тогда я жил бы в тишине. 

Мне надо уст таких, чтоб я, как из фиала,
Мог счастье вечно пить из них, как в райском сне, 
И глаз, чтобы душа моя в них утопала 
В их чудной, в их святой блаженной глубине. 

Лишь сердца одного, руки чтоб веки нежно,
Усталых глаз моих закрыла мне она, 
И мне бы грезился мой ангел белоснежный, 

И мне бы чудилась лазури глубина. 
Лишь сердца одного всегда молил у Бога. 
Так мало! Но и то, я вижу, слишком много.

Великий и благостный Дух.

Поправших Его наказуя,
Он жив и могуч для меня.
Бессмертную душу несу я
Как пламя святого огня!
