Fünf Lieder für 1 Singstimme mit Pianofortebegleitung , opus 1

by Karl Guido Nakonz (1833 - 1907)

Translations available for the entire opus: ENG

1. Veilchen  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Veilchen, [unter]1 Gras versteckt
Wie mit Hoffnung zugedeckt,
Veilchen, freue Dich mit mir,
Sonne kommt ja auch zu Dir.

Sonne scheint mit Liebesschein
Tief Dir in Dein Herz hinein,
Trocknet Deine Tränen Dir --
Veilchen, freue Dich mit mir!

Text Authorship:

  • by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben (1798 - 1874), "Veilchen", first published 1843

2. Hoffe nur  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Wieder schleicht mit milden Zügen
Hoffnung in Dein Herz hinein:
O, so lasse Dir genügen
An dem sanften, lichten Schein!

Soll ich an die Lerche mahnen? --
Kaum ein Fleck vom Schnee befreit:
Und sie denkt im Frühlingsahnen
Nimmermehr der Winterzeit.

Text Authorship:

  • by Roman, Freiherr von Budberg-Benninghausen (1816 - 1858), "Hoffe nur! "

3. Herbstlied  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ach!

Text Authorship:

  • by Oscar von Redwitz-Schmölz (1823 - 1891), no title, appears in Amaranth, in Amaranth's Herbsteslieder

4. Heidenröslein  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Sah ein Knab' ein Röslein stehn,
Röslein auf der Heiden,
War so jung und morgenschön,
Lief er schnell es nah zu sehn,
Sah's mit vielen Freuden.
Röslein, Röslein, Röslein [roth]1,
Röslein auf der Heiden.

Knabe sprach: ich breche dich,
Röslein auf der Heiden!
Röslein sprach: ich steche dich,
Daß du ewig denkst an mich,
Und ich will's nicht leiden.
Röslein, Röslein, Röslein roth,
Röslein auf der Heiden.

Und der wilde Knabe brach
's Röslein auf der Heiden;
Röslein wehrte sich und stach,
Half [ihr]2 doch kein Weh und Ach,
Mußt' es eben leiden.
Röslein, Röslein, Röslein roth,
Röslein auf der Heiden.

Text Authorship:

  • by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832), "Heidenröslein", written 1771, first published 1772
