Ebro caudaloso
Language: Spanish (Español)
Ebro caudaloso,
fértil ribera,
deleitosos prados,
fresca arboleda:
decilde á mi niña
que en vosotros huelga,
si entre sus contentos
de mí se acuerda?

Aljófar precioso,
que la verde yerba
bordas y matizas
con el alva bella:
decilde á mi niña
cuando se recrea
si entre sus contentos
de mí se acuerda?

Álamos frondosos,
blancas arenas
por donde mi niña
alegre pasea:
decidle si acaso
oido os presta,
si entre sus contentos
de mí se acuerda?

Parlerillas aves,
que á la aurora bella
haceis dulce salva
con harpadas lenguas:
decilde á mi niña,
flor de esta ribera,
si entre sus contentos
de mí se acuerda?

Flutenreicher Ebro
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Spanish (Español)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG ENG FRE
Flutenreicher Ebro,
Blühendes Ufer,
All ihr grünen Matten,
Schatten des Waldes,
Fraget die Geliebte,
Die unter euch ruhet,
Ob in ihrem Glücke
Sie meiner gedenket!

Und ihr thauigen Perlen,
Die ihr im Frühroth
Den grünenden Rasen
Bunt mit Farben sticket,
Fraget die Geliebte,
Wenn sie Kühlung athmet,
Ob in ihrem Glücke
Sie meiner gedenket!

Ihr laubigen Pappeln,
Schimmerde Pfade,
Wo leichten Fußes
Mein Mädchen wandelt,
Wenn sie euch begegnet,
Fraget sie, fragt sie,
Ob in ihrem Glücke
Sie meiner gedenket!

Ihr schwärmenden Vögel,
Die den Sonnenaufgang
Singend ihr begrüßet
Mit Flötenstimmen,
Fraget die Geliebte,
Dieses Ufers Blume,
Ob in ihrem Glücke
Sie meiner gedenket!
