Le cercueil était descendu dans la tombe,
Le cercueil, éclairé par la lune.

En silence, sans pleurs, ils le recouvrirent de terre,
Et tous partirent ;
Seule la lune au-dessus de la tombe
Tristement se penchait toute la nuit.
