Der Geist der Liebe wirkt und strebt, Wo nur ein Puls der Schöpfung bebt; Im Strom, wo Wog' in Woge fließt, Im Hain, wo Blatt an Blatt sich schließt. La sera avvolge i campi e la macchia in un rasserenante e morbido crepuscolo. Sfavilla luminoso, tra lievi nuvole dorate, l’astro della Regina dell’amore. La risacca echeggia in tono sopito, gli alberi stormiscono il canto della sera; l’erba del prato si scompiglia lietamente al bacio di silfide del vento di primavera. Lo spirito dell’amore tesse le sue trame là dove pulsa anche solo un palpito della creazione: nella corrente dove l’onda si succede all’onda, nella fratta dove la foglia si congiunge alla foglia. O spirito dell’amore, conduci il giovane verso le sue scelte, affinché un dolce sguardo della persona amata rischiari con luce divina il mondo della materia!
