Wenn die Sterne scheinen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE
Sieh, nun ist es dunkel 'worden,
Alles schläft in weiter Welt,
Nur die Sterne wallen leise
Ihren Weg am Himmelszelt.

Und der leuchtendste von allen,
Jener dort im weißen Kleid,
Schaut mit seinen heil'gen Augen
Still in uns're Einsamkeit.

Sanfter nun die Herzen schlagen,
Auf der Lippe schläft das Wort,
Und die Seelen wandern [heimlich]1,
Hand in Hand zum Himmel fort.

Lorsque brillent les étoiles
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Vois, la nuit est maintenant tombée
Tout dort dans le vaste monde
Seules les étoiles parcourent doucement
Leur chemin sur la voûte du ciel.

Et la plus lumineuse de toutes,
Là-bas en habit blanc
De ses yeux sacrés regarde
En silence notre solitude.

Les cœurs battent maintenant plus doucement
Les mots s'endorment sur les lèvres
Et les âmes cheminent [secrètement]¹
Vers le ciel, main dans la main.
