und daß ich weinend meine Zeit verlor.
 
Hängt meinem Namen keinen Tadel an.
Ich unterlag, doch der mich überwunden,
der Gott, liegt in der Luft. Seid still. er kann
mit einem Male, wenn er euch gefunden,
 
ohne daß er Adonis und Vulkan
heraufbemühte, euch so so heftig nahn,
daß ihr nicht anders könnt, als mehr noch lieben.
 
Und vielleicht ruht er dann nicht eher, bis
ihr rasend seid, und häuft das Hindernis
und treibt euch ärger, als er mich getrieben.
