Zvala k sebe -- naprasno prizy'vala:
Ot lozha vstanu ya i gorod obojdu,
Na uliczax tebya, na torzhishhax najdu.
Iskala ya tebya -- naprasno ya iskala,
Zvala tebya k sebe -- naprasno prizy'vala!
Mne strazhi vstretilis` v polunochnoj tishi;
"Ne znaete l` -- gde on, vozlyublenny'j dushi?"
Ne znali -- ya proshla... no vskore i nezhdanno
YA vstretilas` s toboj, bledna i bezdy'xanna...
Nashla tebya -- nashla i krepko obnyala,
I ne puskala proch`, poka ne uvela
