Translation Singable translation by V. Rozhdestvensky

Ne shhebechi, solovejku
Language: Ukrainian (Українська)
Ne shhebechi, solovejku,
pіd vіknom blizen`ko,
ne shhebechi, malyusen`kij,
na zorі ranen`ko.

Yak zat`oxkaєsh, yak svisnesh,
Nenache zagraєsh:
Tak ї b`єt`sya v grudyax serce,
Dushu razdiraє.

Yak zasvishhesh golosnіshe,
A dalі tixen`ko,
Azh u dushі poxolono,
Azh zamre serden`ko.

Zovsіm troshki perestanesh,
Luna vsyudu pіjde,
Ti v temnu nіch veselishsya
І yak sonce zіjde.

Tvoya pіsnya duzhe garna,
Ti garno spivaєsh,
Ti shhaslivij-sparuvavsya
І gnіzdechko maєsh...

A ya bіdnij, beztalanij!
Bez pari, bez xati,
Ne dostalos` menі v svіtі
Veselo spіvati.

Sonce zіjde, ya nuzhusya,
I zaxodit` - plachu:
Kotru lyublyu dіvchinon`ku,
Tіeї ne bachu.

Davno j chutki vzhe ne mayu
Pro milu dіvchinu,
Czіlij vіk svіj use plachus`
Na lixu godinu.

Ne shhebechi, solovejku,
Yak sonce prigrіє!
Ne shhebechi, malyusen`kij,
І yak vecherіє!

Ti leti, spіvaj tim lyudyam,
Kotrі veselyat`sya:
Voni pіsneyu tvoєyu
Budut` zabavlyat`sya.

A menі tak godit`sya:
Stogne - ne spіvaє;
Nexaj stogne kolo mene,
Ta smert` vozvіshhaє.

Oj, ne poj ty', solovejko
Language: Russian (Русский)  after the Ukrainian (Українська)
 Oj, ne poj ty', solovejko,
 pod oknom blizen`ko,
 ptichka malaya,
ne poj ty' na zore ranen`ko.

 Kak zashhelkaesh`, zasvishhesh`, -
 slovno zaigraesh`.
 I moyo zab`yotsya serdce,
 grud` mne razdiraya.

 Kak zasvishhesh`, gromko, gromko,
 a potom - stixaya,
 na dushe tak grustno stanet,
 serdce zamiraet.

 A kak pet` ty' perestanesh`, -
 e`xo otzovyotsya.
 Ved` tebe i dnyom, i noch`yu
 xorosho poyotsya.

 Xorosho poyosh` ty' pesni,
 vsem legko s toboyu,
 lyubish` ty' svoyu podruzhku
 i gnezdo rodnoe.

 A ya, bedny'j, neschastlivy'j,
 bez zheny', bez doma:
 ne prishlos` na belom svete
 pet` mne, molodomu.

Solnce vsxodit - ya v pechali,
 a zajdyot - ry'dayu;
 toj, kotoruyu lyublyu ya,
 toj vse ne vstrechayu.

 Dazhe vestochki mne netu,
 o moej devchine.
Czely'j vek svoj l`yu ya slyozy'
 o lixoj sud`bine.

 Oj, ne poj ty', solovejko,
 Solnce chut` prigreet!
 Ptichka malaya, ne poj ty',
 lish` zavechereet!

Ty' leti i poj tem lyudyam,
 chto vse veselyatsya;
 lyudi pesneyu tvoeyu
 budut zabavlyat`sya.

 Mne davno uzh e`ta pesnya
 dushu razdiraet,
 vse bol`nee b`yotsya serdce -
 azh dux zamiraet.

 Pust` teper` sova lesnaya
 nado mnoj ry'daet.
 Pust` krichit i tixo stonet -
 smert` mne predveshhaet.
