Gude vіter vel'mi v polі
Language: Ukrainian (Українська)
Gude vіter vel'mi v polі,
Reve, lіs lamaє...
Plache kozak moloden'kij,
Dolju proklinaє.

Gude vіter vel'mi v polі,
Reve, lіs lamaє...
Kozak nudit'sja, serdeshnij,
Shcho robit', ne znaє.

Gude vіter vel'mi v polі,
Reve, lіs lamaє...
Kozak stogne, bіdolakha,
Sam sobі gadaє:

«Revesh, vіtre, ta ne plachesh,
Bo tobі ne tjazhko!
Ti ne znaєsh v svіtі gorja,
Tak tobі j ne vazhko.

Tobі vse odno: chi v polі,
Chi de lіs lamaєsh,
Chi po morju khvilju gonish,
Chi krishі zdiraєsh.

Solom’janі і zalіznі,
Jaku de zustrіnesh,
Snіgom ljudej zamіtaєsh,
V polі jak zastignesh.

Odіrvi zh od sercja tugu,
Roznesi po polju,
Shchob ne plakavsja ja, bіdnij,
Na neshchasnu dolju.

A koli c'ogo ne zrobish -
Kin' mene u more:
Nekhaj zo mnoju potone
Moє ljute gore!...»
