Regne, regne, Frühlingsregen, weine durch die stille Nacht! Schlummer liegt auf allen Wegen, nur dein treuer Dichter wacht ... lauscht dem leisen, warmen Rinnen aus dem dunklen Himmelsdom, und es löst in ihm tiefinnen selber sich ein heißer Strom, läßt sich halten nicht und hegen, quillt heraus in sanfter Macht ... Ahndevoll auf stillen Wegen geht der Frühling durch die Nacht.
