by Julius Waldemar Grosse (1828 - 1902)

Bei dir
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Nächte stürmen, doch die Seele singt
Du bist doch mein
Ich habe dich erworben
Und aller Jahre herbe Pein
In diesem Herbst ist sie dahin gestorben

Die Stürme brausen, doch die Sehnsucht schweigt
An deine Brust
Ist selig Ruhn und Bleiben
Die Rosen wilder Jugendlust
Sie mögen welk in diesen Stürmen treiben,

Die Tage fliehen, doch die Treue bleibt
Still steht die Zeit
Wie auf sich selbst besonnen,
Bei dir erlöst von allem Leid
Ath´m ich die Ewigkeit und ihre Wonnen.
