The odour from the flower is gone
Language: English
Available translation(s): FRE
The odour from the flower is gone
Which like thy kisses breathed on me;
The colour from the flower is flown
Which glowed of thee and only thee!

A shrivelled, lifeless, vacant form.
It lies on my abandoned breast,
And mocks [the]2 heart which yet is warm,
With cold and silent rest.

I weep, -- my tears revive it not!
I sigh, -- it breathes no more on me;
Its mute and uncomplaining lot
Is such as mine should be.

Na svadlou fialku
Language: Czech (Čeština)  after the English
Již vůně květu zmizela,
jak polibky tvé na mne vála,
již barva květu zvetšela,
jež tebou, pouze tebou plála!

Bez žití seschlý, prázdný tvar
dlí na mých ňadrech bez naděje
a srdci, v kterém posud žár,
svým chladem se a tichem směje.

I vzdychám — nedychne mi již!
Lkám — slza nevzbudí jej k žití;
jest němý a bez nářků, týž
los jeho, jak by můj měl býti!
